Dr Michalle Wright - Clinical Psychologist B Psych Hons PhD Clin

Michalle specialises in child, adolescent and family psychology. She has helped many children deal with issues such as anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, grief and loss, challenging behaviour, bedwetting, separation anxiety, selective mutism, trichotillimania (hair pulling), self-harm, physical or sexual abuse and neglect, and bullying. She is trained to deliver the Secret Agent Society Program. She has over 18 years experience in clinical psychology and has dedicated her career to helping many families on the Gold Coast during that time. Michalle works closely with other professionals and agencies such as doctors and schools to ensure a team approach to treatment. Michalle received First Class Honours in Psychology at Griffith University in 2000. She was awarded the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence. She was then awarded a Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scheme scholarship in 2001 to complete her PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her PhD research addressed the nature of depression in adolescence.
