Our COVID-safe practices

Supporting you through the pandemic

At Therapy Matters we support children and families every day to achieve their goals, no matter what the circumstances. We will continue to remain responsive and flexible to the needs of our community all through the COVID-19 pandemic.

How Therapy Matters is keeping you safe

Therapy Matters is committed to practising exceptional safety and hygiene standards every day. We have taken additional steps to mitigate infection by undertaking additional COVID-19 infection control training with the Australian Government Department of Health.

Speech Pathology by its very nature is designed to be delivered with a close connection between child and their therapist. We have taken the following specific COVID-19 related health and safety procedures to reduce the risk of infection.

  • Regular cleaning and protection of high touch surfaces with Zoonoo surface spray
  • Use of Zoonoo hand sanitiser stations across the service
  • Increased frequency of cleaning
  • Wiping of toys and treating surfaces in between clients when needed
  • Wearing of masks when directed
  • Use of social distancing in the common areas and treatment rooms when directed
  • Prompt transition to telehealth services when needed
  • Encourage sick clients, parents and staff to only attend the clinic if well
  • Staff to get tested if any symptoms of COVID-19 and remain at home until a negative test returned
  • Ensure all members of our staff meet mandatory vaccination requirements

We appreciate that this is a challenging and uncertain time for all.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are committed to doing everything we can continue to deliver a safe and reassuring service to all of our valued clients.
