Anne has a wealth of experience within the educational sphere supporting children with learning difficulties and disabilities and their families as an Additional Needs Teacher. She has always enjoyed working together in partnership with parents and multidisciplinary teams. Anne joins our Therapy Connect Alliance Team as a Project Officer and Key Worker. Our Therapy Connect Alliance Team provides services to disadvantaged and vulnerable families in the Murwillumbah area under the Communities for Children Federal Government Initiative together with YWCA.

Anne is the first point of contact for families referred to this service and she works tirelessly to connect with early childhood centres and other local agencies to spread the word about this invaluable initiative for the Murwillumbah community. Anne looks forward to partnering with parents in her key worker role to support parents to have greater understanding, knowledge and skills about their child’s difficulties and how they can help.

“I chose this red plane as my favourite toy for a number of reasons. This toy actually belonged to my husband from when he was a young boy and even though we have moved house many times I cannot seem to part with it. I absolutely love vintage things particularly when they are beautifully made such as this old toy plane.

I love how it’s made of tin a material commonly used before plastics were invented and how even though it would be over 45 years old it is still in relatively good condition. I really enjoy hearing stories, particularly stories about the past. I think we have so much to learn from listening to others. Vintage items such as this toy plane would have so many interesting stories to share… if only it could speak!”
