Speech Pathologist

Ellen comes to Therapy Matters with extensive paediatric experience in early intervention on the Gold Coast. She has worked across settings in Queensland Health, Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI NDIS) and private practice.

Ellen has a passion for early intervention and making a difference in the lives of families and children with developmental delays and disabilities. She endeavours to build strong collaborative relationships with children and their families, in order to understand what is most important to them. She delights in tailoring therapy to each child’s needs in order to provide them with skills to achieve their goals.

Ellen has diverse clinical interests across the practice areas of speech, language, literacy and feeding. She is committed to the principles of family-centred practice. She works diligently to involve parents and carers through the entirety of their therapy journey, from assessment to goal setting and intervention, ensuring that the values, needs and priorities of the family are considered at each step.

Ellen became a qualified speech pathologist in 2017.

Ellen works at The Southport School (Preparatory School) on Mondays and our West Burleigh Clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
