Mandi

Child & Family Keyworker (Social Worker)

M Social Work (Prof Qualif)  B SWelf

Mandi joins our team as our first Child & Family Keyworker. Mandi is a qualified social worker who has a dual role supporting our Therapy Matters Speech Pathology families as well as families in the Murwillumbah area receiving service from the Therapy Connect Alliance Team. Therapy Connect provides services to disadvantaged and vulnerable families in the Murwillumbah area under the Communities for Children Federal Government Initiative together with YWCA.

Mandi is the first point of contact for families referred to this service and she works tirelessly to connect with early childhood centres and other local agencies to spread the word about this invaluable initiative for the Murwillumbah community. Mandi looks forward to partnering with parents in her key worker role to support parents to have greater understanding, knowledge and skills about their child’s difficulties and how they can help.

Mandi works in our Therapy Connect Alliance team at our Murwillumbah Clinic on Mondays and Fridays.

Mandi supports our Therapy Matters Speech Pathology clients on Tuesdays – Thursdays at our West Burleigh Clinic.

What’s your favourite toy?

“I am a lover of children’s books.

‘In My Heart’ is one of my favourites.

I am passionate about assisting children and adults alike to connect with and identify their feelings. This book is such a beautiful, fun and purposeful way to explore feelings together. I love using it again and again!”
