These upcoming holidays our Therapy Matters clients have the opportunity to attend full day group Community COINS sessions.
These programs will be delivered by our therapy assistants (with speech pathologist supervision where needed). They will run from 9am-4pm each day (with before 8-9am and after 4-5pm options available). These groups are an opportunity to tailor and practice therapy goals in an every day setting and work on new goals for life experiences, friendship building and teamwork.
What will the day involve?
- Play at Bounce in the morning
- Afternoon activities at the clinic (including lego, movies, craft, gaming)
- BYO snacks and lunch
What are the goals of the group?
- Being social in the community
- Embrace strengths and self-advocacy skills.
- Develop teamwork & negotiation skills
- Build friendships and connect with like-minded peers
- Conversing and communicating in a group setting
- Develop independence
- Navigation and problem solving skills
- Connecting with like-minded peers
