Therapy Assistant
Speech Pathology Student (SCU 2024 – 2027)
Liah is currently studying to be a speech pathologist at SCU. Liah comes to Therapy Matters having previously worked as a teacher aide supporting students from Prep to Year 6 to achieve their learning goals. In this role she developed experience in understanding neurodivergent students and students with disabilities. She delivered the Mini-Lit literacy intervention program and supported students in their communication and social needs.
Liah is excited to be entering a pathway of transition to be a speech pathologist. She is eager to gain hands-on real-life experience while completing her studies. Liah impressed our team with her enthusiasm, warmth, compassion and care.
Liah works under the supervision of our speech pathologists as a therapy assistant supporting children in our Brick Club and Community Coins Holiday programs and seeing individual children at our clinic and in schools.
