Olivia is a talented speech pathologist with strong clinical knowledge, coupled with a respectful, compassionate, enthusiastic and kind nature. Olivia holds dual degrees: Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Speech Pathology from Griffith University. She is a proud Gold Coast local and she is very excited to help children and adolescents in the Gold Coast and Tweed communities reach their full potential. Olivia has worked exclusively at Therapy Matters for 4 years since graduating as a speech pathologist.

Olivia has a diverse range of clinical interests from toddlers to high school students with speech, language and literacy difficulties as well as children with disabilities. Olivia is dedicated to delivering high quality, family-centred care and she enjoys working collaboratively with teachers and other members of a multidisciplinary team.

Olivia also uses her organisational and event management talents to be a Project Leader on our Social Club ensuring that our team culture and relationships are supported and nutured.

Olivia became a qualified speech pathologist in 2019.

Olivia works at our West Burleigh Clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (Fortnightly) and The Silkwood School on Wednesdays.

What’s your favourite toy?

“Everybody loves ice cream so I am sure that no one is confused as to why the ice cream stand toy is my personal favourite! It never fails to put a smile on a child’s face and can be used to target a wide range of goals in a fun and engaging way. It can be incorporated into activities that target skills such as pretend play, social communication skills, vocabulary building, speech sounds, following directions, and many more!

I find that no matter how many times I use it with a child, they are always excited to play with it over and over again, and often become much more motivated to work towards their goals. The only downside is that if I use it too much, I end up with an ice cream craving for the rest of the day!”
