These upcoming holidays our Therapy Matters clients have the opportunity to attend full day group Community COINS sessions delivered by our therapy assistants (with speech pathology support where needed) or our new 2.5hour Speech Pathology Lead Story-Telling Groups.

Full day sessions run from 9am-4pm each day (with before 8-9am and after 4-5pm options available) and Story-telling sessions run from 9-11.30am. These groups are an opportunity to tailor and practice therapy goals in an every day setting and work on new goals for life experiences, friendship building and teamwork.

These groups are an exclusive experience for our Therapy Matters clients. This means that each group is carefully matched for group fit for the achievement of goals. Every child’s speech pathologist will have input into the individual goals and strategies that are needed from them. Clients with high needs or specialised strategies may have their speech pathologist present during the group experience for support.

What are the overall goals of the group?

  • Embrace strengths and self-advocacy skills.
  • Develop teamwork & negotiation skills
  • Build friendships and connect with like-minded peers
  • Conversing and communicating in a group setting
  • Develop independence
  • Navigation and problem solving skills
  • Connecting with like-minded peers
